Present/s - Dutch National Ballet 2012

If the Dutch say they are going to celebrate, they mean it. For the 50th anniversary of the Dutch National Ballet director Ted Brandsen offered the Amsterdam-based company (and its audience) a special gift in the shape of no less than nine creations spread over a two-day programme. Aptly called "Present/s" the programme included short pieces by (in order of performance) Krzysztof Pastor (Chapters), Hans van Manen (Variations for Two Couples), Juanjo Arqués (Consequence), Christopher Wheeldon (Duet), Ted Brandsen (Raï), Ton Simons (The Nature of Difference), Alexei Ratmansky (Souvenir d'un lieu cher), Sol Léon and Paul Lightfoot (Short Time Together), David Dawson (day4).
